Terms of service
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Restavo Cloud. Plain language on purpose — if a clause is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than hide behind it.
The agreement
By creating an account or using Restavo Cloud you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.
If you have a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement wins wherever the two disagree.
Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for what the people you invite do with the access you give them. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
Give us accurate information and keep it current — we use it for invoices and for security notices.
Plans, trials and billing
We bill in US dollars. Prices, plan limits and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page, and that page is the current truth.
A free trial needs no payment details and ends on its own — we do not convert it into a paid plan without you choosing to.
Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Taxes are yours where they apply. If we change a price we will tell you before the renewal it affects, and you can cancel instead.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Export your data before you cancel — see the privacy policy for how long we keep it afterwards.
Your data stays yours
Everything you put into Restavo remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and take no licence beyond what we need to run the service for you, keep it backed up and support you when you ask.
You can export it while your account is open. You are responsible for having the right to hold the data you upload — staff records and customer details in particular.
What you may not do with it
Do not break the law with it, do not use it to store data you have no right to hold, do not attempt to reach another customer's data, do not probe or attack the service, and do not resell access as your own product without asking us.
Security research is welcome. Tell us what you find before you tell anyone else and we will work with you.
The open-source edition
Restavo's source is public, and running it yourself is governed by the licence in the repository rather than by these terms. These terms cover the hosted service only.
Self-hosting is a real option, not a lead magnet: there is no feature gate that forces you onto Cloud.
Availability and support
We work to keep Restavo up and we will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance, but self-serve plans carry no contractual uptime guarantee. If you need one, talk to us about an agreement that includes it.
Support runs over email on self-serve plans. We answer as fast as we can and we would rather tell you a real timeline than a flattering one.
Services we do not control
Restavo can connect to services other people run — payment and banking rails, food delivery platforms, messaging apps. Those have their own terms and their own outages, and we cannot be responsible for how they behave.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is. Beyond what these terms say and what the law requires, we make no other warranties.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Keep your own exports. Backups on our side are for disaster recovery, not a substitute for your records.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account for non-payment, or immediately where use threatens the service or other customers. We will tell you why and, where we reasonably can, give you a chance to fix it first.
Either of us may end the agreement for a material breach the other does not remedy after being told about it.
Changes to these terms
We update the date at the top when these terms change. For a change that materially reduces what you get, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel rather than accept it.
If you self-host Restavo, your data never reaches our servers — it stays in the database you run. This document covers Restavo Cloud only. Licence (AGPL-3.0)
